What We Do
At GoldBod, we maintain the highest standards of integrity, transparency and accountability in all our operations. Some of our key activities include:
Trading
We provide funds to our licensed aggregators and buyers to purchase gold on our behalf for export to off-takers across the globe.
Assaying
We provide credible assay services for all gold and other precious minerals exported from or brought into Ghana for accurate purity measurements and valuation.
Licensing
We are the sole authority with the power to license all persons engaged in gold trading and other related businesses in Ghana, such as aggregation, buying, smelting, refining, transportation, jewelry production and fabrication, among others.
Diamond Operations
We are the sole implementor of the Kimberley Process Certificate Scheme (KPCS) and responsible for the marketing and export of rough Diamonds produced in Ghana.
Vault Services
We provide secured gold storage services for our diverse clients.
Refining, Fabrication and Minting
We promote and regulate the refining of Ghana's precious minerals and their fabrication into coins, tablets and other forms of castings.
Jewelry
Through our subsidiary, Precious Jewelry Limited (PJL), we sell authentic, customised and high-quality gold, diamond, and silver jewelry to clients in and outside Ghana.
Tokenisation
Through blockchain technologies, we convert physical gold into digital tokens for our clients across the globe.

At GoldBod, we are committed to transforming Ghana’s gold trading industry to optimize national benefits, through responsible sourcing, value-chain traceability, value addition and sustainability in line with international best practices.
Backed by a seed capital of $279 million USD (cedi equivalent) advanced to us by the government of Ghana, we oversee, regulate and undertake the purchase, assay, refining and export of a minimum of 3 tons of gold every week to off-takers across the globe for the main purpose of generating foreign exchange for the country and enhancing gold reserve accumulation by the Bank of Ghana.
The GoldBod initiative prioritizes transparency, sustainability, value addition and stakeholder collaboration to strengthen Ghana’s position in the global gold market for economic transformation.
