The Planning Committee of the 50th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards has paid a courtesy call on Mr. Sammy Gyamfi Esq, the Chief Executive Officer of Goldbod, as part of its stakeholder engagement and sponsorship mobilisation drive ahead of the grand awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday, 15th November 2025, in Accra.
The delegation, jointly led by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah, and the President of SWAG, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, visited formally to introduce the 50th Anniversary Awards programme to the CEO of Goldbod and explore potential partnership areas to ensure the successful organisation of the prestigious event.
Mr. Sammy Gyamfi warmly welcomed the delegation and praised SWAG for its consistent role in promoting sports and maintaining professional sports journalism in Ghana. He assured the Planning Committee of Goldbod’s willingness to support initiatives that celebrate Ghanaian achievement, especially in sports, which acts as a unifying force for national cohesion and youth empowerment.

The 50th SWAG Awards Planning Committee expressed its gratitude to Goldbod for its warm reception and pledged to maintain ongoing engagement with the company and other corporate bodies to make the Golden Jubilee edition of the SWAG Awards a memorable success.
Other members of the SWAG delegation included Mr Charles Kwadwo Ntim and Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, both members of the Planning Committee.
The SWAG Awards, the longest-running national awards scheme in Ghana, continues to serve as a platform to celebrate sporting excellence and promote the values of hard work, discipline, and patriotism among Ghana’s athletes and sports administrators.
